I am having a lot of spam problems. I am getting a lot of spam but not the easy kind to get rid of. Usually I send a unlist request a few times and they take me off their lists. These one's are myspace, bank of america , paypal ect. kind of scams where the emails are the actuall emails but gmail picks it up and says it may not be from whom it actually is. I am getting more than 10 a day and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I am thinking of getting the P2P program that will work similar to blue frog. The thing is this spam doesn't include any unsubscribe links or links to legitimate sites that I could file a complaint with, just links to fake log-in pages for those major sites and they have fake domains that look similar to the real ones.

How should I go about getting rid of this spam?

It's generally an impossible task.

Get a new email address.

Be more carful when signing up for stuff. Make sure the Company wont give away your email address. If it has an option when signing up like "recieve mail from our partners", make sure its unchecked, 'cause that one's a killer.

Try blocking the IP address of that spammer using PHP or .htaccess

you can click on the 'reply' button and send the spam emails to abuse@hotmail.com .... usually i just delete it. but when it has something to
do with fraud or financial info i'll email them to the webmasters.

Switch to gmail. The spam filter they use is by far the best I've seen. :-)
