Now I know why there's such hype about that film before. ****, that movie was so good! I've seen it yesterday--a bit late for Veterans day but still worth all my time. One of Steven Spielberg's best films and definitely, one of the best war themed movie ever made.

I haven't seen it all the way through, though I've seen about 70%. I have to admit, I wasn't particularly taken by it.

If you like that, I highly suggest buying the Band of Brothers set on DVD that originally showed on HBO. It is inspiring, sad, happy, has amazing cinematography, and all based on true events. Speaking of Tom Hanks, I just watched Forrest Gump for the bazillionth time last night...classic.

It was an OK movie, but definitely not on the level of The Big Red One or Band of Brothers.

That movie rocks, you have to really like war movies though to appreciate it.

Band of brothers is cool too.

What's interesting for me is that all my favorite war movies are based on the actual unit I was in when I was in the Army. The 101st Airborne [now 101st Airborne (Air Assault)]
