is DP visited by mostly kids ?
I have like 30 bad reps over there..

This is the only site that I go to that I've even had one bad rep.

I hope I don't offend anyone here, but it seems like there are tons of Indian kids over there.. every day I see some big discussion about Indians doing this, and doing that and how they are better then Americans or Europeans..

it's diffinately made me cut down on any time I've spent at DP, really the only time I go by is if I'm looking for a few backlinks to buy.
Is there a better site for this type of purchase ?

does anyone else notice a little immaturity over there ?

I don't like DP. If you don't go along with the clique they have there you pretty much get red repped to death.

I don't go with any group on dp at all.. I'm just checking things out for myself.
I have 40 some points on DP that are 90% red :thumbdown:

I act just the same on that site as All the others sites/forums I visit..

I use to go to sitepoint a lot, maybe I should switch back to it.

DP is a great and informative forum. i have definitely learned more there than here.

maybe its you guys that just don't fit. there are cliques on DP? really I'm on there daily and don't really notice things like that. I'm there to do business and get things done.

DP is a great forum and i think EF needs to be a little more like it. people actually share the way they do things unlike here. just my 2 cents.

I have my old account there; not really a bad place. It's just that there are some people there whom I can't really get along pretty well.

I'm not sitting here saying no one likes it. Anyone with common sense can tell there are people that like it. However it doesn't fit some people and some people have problems with it. Probably the same way some people have problems with the way this forum is and the atmosphere it projects. Can't please everyone and that is why there is EF and DP and all the other webmaster forums out there.some big E-Fight over the coolest webmaster forum on the net.

I post there and a lot of threads there are good. The place with the most kids on it is talkfreelance.com but not DP. I hardly see any kids, maybe just adults that don't care about being mature

just seems like this thread is going to turn into a bash DP thread. but what kind of problems do you have on there? cant imagine how a whole board can just rub you the wrong way like that.

I think that any large community that impliments rep is going to see a certain amount of abuse. This is the major reason we got rid of it at Sitepoint, as it only encourages cliques and lessens the overall sense of community.

Very true.

The only thing that really bugs me about DP more than anything else is the apparent 'so what?' attitude of people selling copyrighted graphics in their market forums.

I think DP has some great info on it, but to me I see a lot of ppl that act like kids.

i guess thats on any big forum. kids are always trying to fit in somewhere and DP is a must for the younger crowd. theyre starting early now a days. 12 and 13 year old web masters buying and selling sites. the new era lol

yup but, I've talked to some amazing 13 years olds as far as coding work

I'm just going to take a break from DP

clear my mind of my stupid red reps..lol
