Well I got a MacBook for xmas and I must say i refell in love with computers. The simplicity of the Mac's is really nice and the amount of things you can do are nice too.

So i was mainly wondering how many people here use Mac's?

I have also noticed its much nicer with Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Good choice!!!

Windows = A ton of viruses and crashes.
Macintoash = Doesn't have the daily crashes and viruses.

As you might notice, I'm a Mac user. Been using one since about 1983.

I always hear this from Mac users and I have to say, that’s the old argument to buy a Mac. Although, in the past, it was true that crashes and viruses plague the PC, it's not so much today. Ever since Windows 2000 was released (seven years ago), I can count on one hand the number of crashes I’ve had ...and I’ve had zero viruses infect my computer (and all I am using is AVG Free). The new reason to buy a Mac is that they tell the world, “I’m hip, I’m anti-establishment, I am not with ‘The Man’.” The Mac is more of a status symbol than anything else.

Albeit, the Mac is totally cool. I do agree with that.

I’ve actually thought about switching over for about the last year ...especially after using Keynote for a presentation I gave to a bunch of Suits. It rocked. It beat the crap out of PowerPoint!! But other than that, I’ve had a lot of troubles when trying to use it. Mainly things just acting buggy ...especially websites! My friends tell me that after a few weeks of adjustment, I would love it and never want to switch back. I’m still skeptical.

I have both, I use the mac mainly for any graphics work that I need to get done and the windows laptop for other stuff. I have them both running at the same time, 3 monitors (2 for windows and 1 for mac). I'm happy with both. But there are things that you can't get for mac, such as the latest windows messenger live that bug me.

Also, there is no apostrophe in Macs, it is a plural of mac, not a statement of possesion.

I must say ever since I upgraded to XP pro there has been an enormous difference. Haven’t contracted a virus yet, much more stable, and much faster. But I still want a Mac :-), better for graphic design and far less flaws with their programs from what I hear.

I'm going to not follow the bandwagon and stick to good old Windows. Don't see why everyone is moving to mac all of a sudden, other than to be "in". Doesn't have an edge over windows as far as functionality as far as I'm aware..

Ok wrong. Just sayin'.

I have a PC and a G4 at work, and at home I have a PC, a Mac Mini and my Ubuntu linux laptop. I much prefer the Mac and I've been a PC user since I was writing QBasic loops on my 386DX. I got the mac for graphic design and found myself using it daily to avoid the hassles of my PC. See, it's not PC's that I'm against...it's Microsoft.

I mainly got my Mac because my sister got one for college. She goes to an art college. After toying around with the video editing software which i do a lot of and really liked the simplicity of it. I also grew up on Macs in elementary school and most of middle school. I had a class on video editing and we used those eMacs which were nice.

Now im not saying windows is bad, im just saying i like the way the Mac is.

Yes there is a lot of people that jump over to be "in". If i had money a long time ago i would have always had a Mac.
