What do you need it for? I mean, I woulda thought making $1k-$5k/month your main priority would be hosting...

You could always use your PC to practice, using something like EasyPHP For Windows.

This is also a good way to develop your own library of code.

for real. i pay more for lunch every day than i do for hosting for an entire month.

one shared server hosting like 5 of my domains = $5/month

life is good. anybody remember those days when hosting cost an arm and a leg (and maybe even a friend's leg too if u wanted good tech support)

lol. dude, use godaddy

$5/ month. php, mysql, lots of space and fast speed.

if all u want is php, its free, and has a windows port. heck, i do all of my development on a WAMP setup. took like 5 minutes to install on my home pc.

i just think people are reluctant to give u access to their web servers. its like asking to borrow somebody's video game memory card.

Ditto.

Why don't you just set up a local host? Cheaper on bandwidth in the long run, in the sense that a local host is FREE...?

I do most of my preliminary testing on a local host. Then once I'm satisified upload to the net and check cross platform.
