Do the Germans hate Microsoft???

Read the first 3 words of the german wikipedia article for microsoft.

die is a preposition in german, like our "the" or something like that

You should hear italians.
They say "die" but it's written "dai" and the meaning is something similar to "go".
Ie if you go to a Tennis game and you want to cheer up a player you could shout "Dai Federer!!" and it sounds like "Die Federer!!"

@gopher I´m german and at first I didn´t understand what you mean...my secon d thought was: Why were you looking for the german microsoft article??? LOL

I guess it would never come to my mind to look for the spanish article of mercedes benz. :1eye:

By the way: the german word "DIE" is pronounced "dee"
