Didnt know which forum to post this in but I hope this one is ok.

Ok, so I am looking into buying this website and I am not sure as to the traffic levels provided by the seller.

The alexa rank is decent but is that really a guarantee for traffic?

is there a program, service, software that can provide me with accurate stats on a website aside from just taking the sellers word for it?

Alexa is not helpful at all for what you are needing. You should ask the seller for some server side analytics like AWStats or Webalizer. If he doesn't have that, then ask him to add either Google Analytics or Extreme Tracking. This will allow you to get an idea of the site's true stats in a matter of a few days.
