So, has anyone got this phone yet? I saw videos of lines outside of Apple stores and wondered if it will really be worth the wait.....

Gotta admit though, the iPhone looks pretty sweet!

It does look very cool but I don't know that I would want to spend that kind of money for a phone. Plus my provider is Verizon and the iPhone is AT&T.

My soon to be new phone (this week) is the Sprint Mogul which from all I can see is a superior phone to the iPhone in terms of functionality and speed. I guess it isn't as visually stimulating, but I like it a lot nevertheless.

I'd like to see it. But the iPhone seems really nice. Like always, anyone is always anxious to see something new and inventful.

The iphone will do great but real electronics consumers will see right past all the flash. It has a great browser though and it's a nice phone.

I have seen in the blogosphere that they sold an estimated $250M worht of phones over the weekend.

The iPhone is very nice, but I'm a sucker for those little cool effects.

I'm just wondering what the other providers are going to do next. Since AT&T has merged with Bellsouth and Cingular, and now has released the iPhone. Not only that, I'm sure tons of users dropped there current service and signed up for AT&T, just for the iPhone. There in a pretty solid position.

It's going to be interesting watching this battle.

I went to the apple store on Saturday and played with it for a while. It has the most amazing screen of any small electronic device I've seen. It's also very fun to play with and the zoom feature is great.

It's hard to get behind something with all the hype around it but frankly I loved the thing. I can't justify the money but if I could I'd buy it today.

What really excites me is this is a window to the future. Finally there will be a need for faster wireless connections and hopefully that will mean people viewing my site more often

I think I'm going to buy one. I've been wanting a decent hand-held device for a while (organizer, etc) for a while. Having to carry a phone and that would be a pain - the other things like a web browser, google maps (VERY useful) are definitely major bonuses.

My only concern are connection speed (I live in a small city - 150,000 people) and them releasing second/third generation models soon fixing tons of problems.

Anbody know about the stock up in BC?

Phones are getting ridiculous

I just upgraded last week to a new phone, couldn't wait to get rid of my razr since it was a piece of junk.

Got the samsung a707. Not super fancy, but great reception, very clear, and most importantly, I can call people with it, LOL.

its not that good, its just the "iPeople" think its the f*ckin business, although you cant really modify it, its not easily updatable, and of course its from apple so they put loads of limitations on it.

I have a Nokia N95, and it whipes the floor with the iPhone.

I actually just got back from demoing an iphone and the browser alone is reason enough for me to buy it. I don't know of any other phones that have a REAL browser like that, but if any exist please tell me about them.

Something I learned about the Iphone which makes me not want it.

When the battery dies, you can't replacement. The battery is soldered into the phone, and you have to take it to a technician to have the batter replaced. The cost of the battery is $85.00.

The turnarond time on a battery replacement is about 3 days, during which time, you would have to rent a replacement phone, at a cost of about $30.00.

If the battery in my phone goes bad, I want to be able to stop by the store, grab a new one, and carry on about my business. I don't want a phone that someone will have to perform heart surgery on just go replace a battery.

i will be getting mine soon....i started slobbering as I saw my friend use it.

a bit more of a phone for the techno whiz and yes there are one or two bugs but cant wait till mine gets here.
