We got an HDTV recently and have enjoyed the added features of Fios with DVR and movies/shows on demand.
But today I was watching a movie (not on demand, on a regular channel but in HD mode) and behind the dialogue were voices. It was annoying for a while as I was trying to figure out if it was part of the mystery movie I was watching. I turned up the volume to hear plot cues:
"She goes to the door. She peeks through the peephole. She puts down her mug. She looks to the window."
Etc.
I then thought I could change the setting in my prefs to turn off audio cues for the blind. I couldn't find it. I found Closed captioning (for the deaf) but nothing that would indicate a mode for blind people to listen to a television story.
I went back later to the channel and the audio cues were not "on" for the next movie.
Am I losing my mind? Anyone know what this is called and how I can turn it off the next time I watch that channel with a movie with those extra features?
