Well this starting this month I no longer have TV. Well that is a bit exaggerated I still have A tv and basic antenna access which means only stations 5, 12, 29, 34+ starts getting fuzzy. Since where I live basic cable isn’t an option I decided to let it slide and get over it, no use getting bent out of shape. Me being clever as I am I have used my massive brain power to find a website called Tv-Links that acts as a portal to TV shows that are on sites such as DailyMotion, YouTube, and Veoh! This site is legal because it only provides link’s to the content and does not actually host them. Leaving the video host companies the ones to be bombarded with copyright infringement love!
So now you can sort of watch TV on your computer but only in your browser and that is a real inconvenience. You want to have these files on your computer to shove on that nifty 80gb iPod video. Well there are way’s in which to download videos from YouTube, Daily Motion, and Bolt but the legality of said actions are questionable at the very least.
You can also download these videos with various different applications. There are also web based version of this sort of application but they don’t usually convert the video and just download it in .FLV format and leave the dirty work to you. An example of this type of site is Javimoya.com which uses the same process of just putting in the URL of the video and it downloads the file to your computer.
This is a post from my old blog that I found while cruisen archive.org and thought it would do better here than going to waste there. If you liked this post you can check out where I'm writing now at Bloginite.com
