I recently formatted my computer which involved getting a new installation of FireFox. I then remembered how many extensions I had for FF and how little I used most of them. This is a comprehensive list of some of my favorite and most used FF extensions which may prove useful to you as well.
IE Tab
Have you ever come to a page that only works in Internet Explorer? Then you have to go through the whole process of getting the link, finding wherever you hid that **** IE, opening it up and then finally going back to the webpage. With IE tab all you have to do is right click on the page and click “Open page in IE tab” and you are set. You get a brand new tab opened but it runs like an IE browser. You can get IE tab here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
Down Them All
This neat little extension works as an advanced download manager and download accelerator for FireFox. It can increase your download speed by up to 400%, bulk download links from a webpage, and also pause and resume downloads when you want. Down Them All is available at the following link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201
VideoDownloader
I absolutely love this extension. I know some of you have always wanted to download a video from a site such as YouTube, Google, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, ect. Well now it is as simple as getting this extension. What you do is visit one of your favorite video sites, click the little icon placed in the status bar of FF and it will open up an options window. Then just select what you want to download and that‘s it! You can pick this extension up here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2390
StumbleUpon
Sometime I get very bored with nothing to do. StumbleUpon allows the lazy to be lazier by doing the web surfing for them! The StumbleUpon FF extension is just a little side piece to a huge website known as… StumbleUpon. Using this extension does require you to make a free account at StumbleUpon but I believe it is well worth it for the cool stuff you can find web “stumbling”. Get it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/138
Live Pagerank
This just give you a little Google pagerank indicator in the status bar. I look at this regularly on almost every site just to see their pagerank. It can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2007
This is a post from my old blog that I found while cruisen archive.org and thought it would do better here than going to waste there. If you liked this post you can check out where I'm writing now at Bloginite.com
