Hello Guys,

I have been a member here for a while and have read alot of the valuable information available at Earners forums.

So heres my story so far, I have been a web designer for around 4 years (self-taught) and want to look at SEO and online marketing for a future career.

I guess my inspiration mainly comes from my uncle, he is the Chief Marketing Officer at WordTracker (Hes busy, otherwise I would be asking him! :thumbup

So I started out thinking, brilliant, this is going to be a breeze.. *ahem* Far from the truth. My first project was a travel site about Ireland which I was never really able to get much enthusiasm for. Although my first few adsense clicks were a great rush!

So the point of this thread in general, was to get some guidance about the best place to start (I would love to try affiliate marketing but it seems abit daunting). I have money to invest so thats no problem, I just need to know where to put it.

An idea I came up with was a directory site, although I hear that market is quite saturated.

Any tips or advice would be great guys.

i think you are in the right place. Start reading thru the threads already here and then starting asking questions.
