Which community do you guys prefer over the other? Do you guys go on Sitepoint more than you do Digitalpoint? If so, why do you prefer one over the other?

Personally, I've always been a fan of Sitepoint, but Digitalpoint is more active.

I chose EarnersForum over them both.

I don't like the "anything goes" of DP nor do I like the super tech / dry feel of SP discussions.

I use to visit DP a few times a day, but anymore all I see are "free stumbles" or $5 e-book threads.

I signed up at SP a year ago but only have a hand full of post. I started going back 2 weeks ago and have bought 3 unique wp styles, I'm working on getting 10 together to release and help with back links.

That's all you see? Don't visit the freebies forum then.

SitePoint for me. AT DP, I just don't feel the community and that is important to me if I am going to spend my time growing someone else's site

I have only ever looked at the Buy, Sell, Trade section on DP.
SP I go more for the articles, sometimes browser their marketplace, and post when I need an answer to a question quickly.

I`m one who uses the New Posts button each time I visit a forum. If the forum is too big, this dont work so well so I tend not to use them or only go to certain sections of the site.

Well, the new posts link should work on any site - and should be fast unless they have slow servers.

i prefer DP over sitepoint. sitepoint is cool and has a lot to offer, but i feel i get more done with DP. For me DP has more to offer, has more of what im looking for and gets the job done but in all honesty, i belong to both, and use both, just use DP more.

Why is that? Is it because DP is free?
