Okay so i thought of this thread while in the shower (sounds like a eureka moment right?)

Well it wasnt but hopefully this will be interesting...

So quite simple just post the single stupidest thing you have done today.

Mine: While in the shower i licked my finger to try and rub off some pen on my arm... Bare in mind my arm was under a warm running shower... i laughed and slapped myself...

Next person?

I haven't done anything stupid yet today, but I have my first basic motorcycle rider class tonight, so I'm sure I will make up for it there

The stupidest thing i've done today was switch on the tv, saw confused.com's ad and said "aaaah, turn it off!!!". Only to find myself turning the volume up

Im just waiting for someone to come on and say something like, when i was trying to to display databse contents i tried to use a for look not a while! lol

random geekiness - its not fair from 6pm till the saturday after that im going to have NO INTERNET!!!! >< stupid holiday with no internet... at least one of the resturant better have wi-fi ><

I made several stupid mistakes with PHP which caused errors to appear all over my site - then I started hitting myself in anger since I'd spent like 45 minutes working on a tiny bit of code, then realised the solution was remarkably simple

I hate when you get PHP errors that you can't figure out and spend ages on, only to realise that the solution is very easy and wouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes if you'd thought carefully in the first place.

Me too, like when your looking on line 98, when the actual error is on line 4, which is that you wrote $_PUST instead of $_POST. I hate spelling mistakes.

I can't say I've written "PUST" many times before instead of POST - however, I do occasionally forget to write $_POST and instead just write $POST which obviously doesn't work.

Just an example, i'm never dumb enough to continue writing U instead of O. Although how many times have I written if($whatever = $something) instead of if($whatever == $something).

Yep I agree with what you said - both about the geek talk and with the double equal signs - I hate that sometimes. I keep making the mistake and it gets on my nerves. Eventually, you do get used to it but it takes a while.

Another stupid PHP thing I sometimes do is write something like mysql_query(blah blah) but without actually assigning it a variable/array and then I wonder why it doesn't work! Lol.

Okay Dan here you go -

I had my first motorcycle class today (there's still Saturday from 7:30-5 and Sunday from 7:30-2). The class started at 5:30 and I get out of work at 4:30, it's about a 45 minute drive. Around half way there I hit a major traffic jam. Three lanes of expressway traffic at a complete stop. I noticed it soon enough to get off of the expressway, but I'm not real familiar with the area that I got off and ended up driving 20 minutes to make it 1 1/2 miles down the expressway where, thankfully, the traffic had cleared. The really stupid part of that is that I have GPS and if I had bothered with it I'm sure it would have told me a much more intelligent way to get around the traffic jam.

Because I have a tendency to speed (opps, don't think I'm supposed to admit that

) I was only about 3 minutes late to class, but it was still stupid and still irritated me.

Lol - i hate that when my mum does that she has GPS (NO CLUE WHERE WE ARE GOING) and still claims that one way is quicker than what the GPS says and then moans because it took 20minutes longer.

i think i will have to be really disiplined when i get my license or i will get banned for speeding (i cant drive yet (too young)) but i hate sitting there thinking we could be going faster ><
