So I came across this list, and I was just wondering what you guys thought about it? http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/500songs

I personally think there should be more Hannah Montana at the top… *throws hands up in a comical fashion* “I’m Just Kidding!”

I do think “imagine” should be number one. Even though I don’t agree with the song, one cannot deny the shear poetry and imagery.

Satisfaction? The Stones had a few good songs, but that wasn't one of them. They need to push Chuck Berry to the top, and nix the Nirvanna from #9. I'd also get rid of The Clash, and Stairway. The first Ray Charles and David Bowie songs they list aren't the ones that jump to mind. How could they pick Heroes instead of Golden Years?

The Message (#51) is a great song, but not the best rap song by any means, and until this point I didn't think hip hop was allowed on the list?

Redemption song is a timeless great.

It's a good song, but I've heard it about a trillion times. I prefer Over The Hills and Far Away.

It's subjective...music fans will never agree since we all have our own opinions.

I don't think it makes much sense. I mean as far as Metallica Albums are concerned, Rolling Stone Ranked Master Of Puppets at 167, and The Black Album at 252 in their top 500 albums, yet not a single song from Master of Puppets made it on their top 500 songs list, however Enter Sandman (from the Black Album) is at #399

Oh and here's one list if you don't want to go through the Rolling Stone's 5 seperate pages.

Well I do agree that it is subjective but I will say that sometimes I think an album is better than others and not just because of one particular song.
