For you webmasters/web developers/forum administrators/monetize-ers, did you take any courses in high school/college/technical school, that you feel helped you be a better webmaster/forum owner/etc? If so, which course and why?

I'm going to be enrolling back in school this summer (after a year off) and on the side of my current academic goals I'd like to take a few courses that would help me develop my webmaster/forum administration/etc traits and skills.

Any suggestions?

I think marketing course that I took really helps a lot, you can apply what you learn wholesale into the Internet environment.

I took a vocational course about computer science and it helped in introducing to me some different programming languages, how to create programs and web pages...the knowledge I gained was enough but the learning process is not yet finished for there are a lot of things to study with computers and internet

I took a year of graphic design which taught me a lot about layouts and how to use graphics.

I did do a short web design course as a "gifted and talented" thing at local college (while in secondary school) which basically showed me i am going to hate the rest of my career when i have to work with designers who dont actually know how a website works or what HTML code is

Guh tables ... *shiver*

Nope! I majored in computer science in college, and ended up going totally far away from that. I love the internet but never found computer science my forte. Instead, I got into sysadmin roles (thanks to jobs I had as a student) which led me to a web hosting/SEO firm and that's how I got here.

In other words, class doesn't hurt, but you don't necessarily have to have "schooling" to be successful. If I can credit it to anything, it comes down to passion, determination, and excitement for what I do.
