Now all the suspense of knowing whether or not you will get rejected is gone!
There is an equation that will rid the whole rotten process of trying to talk to a girl that is to good for you.
Quote:
Putting this into an equation, we could come up with the following (W=Witty, G=Aggressive, Ay=Your Attractiveness, AH=Her Attractiveness, R=Her "Amount" of Current Relationship; all variables from 1-10 with 10 being high)
You would, of course, have to evaluate the results on some type of scale, like the one here:
- If ASK is less than zero you should lower your standards
- If ASK is between zero and 1, you have exactly a snowball's chance in hell with her
- If ASK is between 1 and 10, game on!
- If ASK is greater than 10, consider her more attractive friend instead

Check it out I thought it was interesting. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7238637.stm

Wow that's crazy... literally.
Attaching science to pure speculation is like attaching speculation to pure science...Don't do it.

Consider this: every year in the United States, when the Discovery Channel broadcasts "Shark Week" visits to Florida beaches decline. Presumably, the network's programming makes the waters no less safe (assuming sharks are not, in fact, empowered by cable television).

Great find, Chesh! Just don't show my wife - she doesn't know she was supposed to hold out for someone at least as attractive as she is.

Haha. I like it, but they left out a few very very very important variables. Wealth, Relative Age, Overall age, Brains, and size of genatilia.

I was under the impression there are a very large number of people speculating on the stock market using science.

Very true! Yet there still remain a large number of speculators buying and selling because a stock is "overbought" or "oversold" or fits some other mathematical condition having nothing to do with the real underlying value of the stock.
I think the formula needs to be re-worked into something we can use real world numbers with, since attractiveness is hard to put a real number on. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Hows this.....
________(NW(y) - NW(h))/200,000)^2 + (IQ(y) -100) /3__________
((A(y) - 30) / 10) ^2 + (A[h] -21)^2) + (30 - ((C[h]-34)^2) +((W[h] - 24)^2 + ((32 - H[h]))^2))
Where:
NW = Net Worth
IQ = IQ
A = Age
C = Chest Size
W = Waste Size
H = Hip Size
[h] = Hers
[y] = Yours
Yes.. I do have too much time on my hands.

^^ Wow that is quite an equation!
You can throw any numbers you want into the equation, at the end of the day,
what people are attracted to is far too speculative. Even contemporary ideals about beauty are not adhered by everyone. I think this is purely a result of evolution...

Very true. A friend of mine used to tell me, never underestimate the attractiveness of a guy with his own private jet.

Haha, you asked me that once before. I guess I am going to have to give it a read.

I haven't read The Giver since elementary school, but if I'm remember the plot correctly.. what on Earth does it have to do with this thread?

i think if you can convince a girl that she if the one for you by showing her this equation and she believes you. hold on to that.
