I was wondering how to get a-hold off computer parts like, ram, harddrives, motherboards, processors, burners etc.

I want to start a computer part store online where individuals can buy computer parts from me.

How do I go about getting the parts?

How do I make sure the site is found?

How do I make customers trust the site? Security etc.

How do I compete?

How much does it cost to run the site?

What about accepting credit cards through automation?

Insurance to customers?

Making sure there isn't fraud?

Oh and what can I use to make the site free? I code html and understand php.

I was wondering how to get a-hold off computer parts like, ram, harddrives, motherboards, processors, burners etc.

There are probably large distributors that you can get in touch with that have reseller plans.

I want to start a computer part store online where individuals can buy computer parts from me.

How do I go about getting the parts?

Some one suggested buying them from Asia, that could work, you could also likely have it arranged to get them shipped directly to your customers instead of sent to you first.

How do I make sure the site is found?

SEO, advertising, you can buy bannerspace or maybe print ads if appropriate.

How do I make customers trust the site? Security etc.

Give the site a clean, straight forward design with contact info easy to find. If you're a smaller business it might help to have payment information collected through a larger entity(third party processors) instead of on your own domain.

How do I compete?

This is up to you, find out who your market is and determine if there's a need to be filled. Competitors tend to be a good thing because it means there's money there to be made, but it is possible that the market is over saturated.

How much does it cost to run the site?

hosting, processing, and the cost of buying the goods you'll be selling, I don't know 'drop shipping' too well, but it may be a good way to manage costs and logistics.

What about accepting credit cards through automation?

A couple ways to do this, either a third party processor, such as 2Checkout, Paypal, or my own, EC Suite. Or through a merchant account, which tend to be better for larger businesses, their fees scale better the larger volume you're processing.

Insurance to customers?

Not sure what to say here, have an honest refund policy, and get a distributor you trust to keep you supplied with a quality product.

Making sure there isn't fraud?

If you're collecting payment info on your own servers you need an SSL certificate. If you're doing it with a payment processor they should have there own, as well as some sort of fraud scrubbing tied into the verification process to ensure the information entered isn't fraudulent. You could also call your customers after each order to confirm it, and their shipping address.

Oh and what can I use to make the site free? I code html and understand php.

Do you mean web design for free? I'm sure you could fish up some templates. OSCommerce might also help.

With hosting you get what you pay for, be realistic about your needs and look for quality. If a host offers thousands of gigs of storage and bandwidth for 10 bucks a month chances are they aren't legit. They're either overselling or going to shut your account off if you actually try to use anywhere close to what they're offering. I'd look for a host that caters to businesses and has a good basic shared hosting plan for under 50 bucks a month. 20gigs storage/500gigs of transfer, something like that.

1st you should have parts so you should better cheap parts so that you'll be earning more in return
2nd in regards with the site you should ask for help with a SEO
3rd you should put comments box in your site that the customer is happy and claiming that they had a great deal with you..
