They use a splash screen, as does their number one rated site. Eccch.

A lot of those sites look really nice, but with all the things flying around the screen and the abstract background images (shiny things) I kinda missed the point. I think this image captures my confusion:

the designs charts are not that impressive unlike before, but it is quite interesting to see what's in the list of the chart!

I have to say the intro made me think; where it said "web designers are the new rock stars" I thought to my self ...my life is a lot like Mick Jagger's, I'm still doing something that people thought I should give up a long time ago.
