There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
no disease that enough love will not heal;
no door that enough love will not open;
no gulf that enough love will not bridge;
no wall that enough love will not throw down;
no sin that enough love will not redeem...
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble;
how hopeless the outlook; how muddled the tangle; how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
If only you could love enough you would be
the happiest and most powerful being in the world...

I wrote this poem the other day, called "What is Love?"... maybe it can become someone else's favourite "love quote", who knows...
Quote:
Love is the guy who will ALWAYS
turn up at just the wrong time
She's the woman who just won't
listen to anything you really mean
Love opens the door, for someone else
and slams it in the face of the person
who took the trouble to open it,
it's the blue sky you missed while asleep
When love takes you in her arms,
you'll never know what you did to deserve it:
When love pledges to die for you,
you'll secretly wish he just would
Love is not a teenage film, love is not
a beautiful song made by the songstress,
Love screams when it's happy,
Love punches you, when it's ecstatic
Without love, life is tranquil and stable,
people don't fight as much,
and no one has anything to cry over,
not even the unstoppable crying of joy.
There is no day of the week where love
is a better or more real thing to have,
There is no nation, no part of history,
no gender, no religion that owns love.
We all want it, and most of us will
never get it, and we don't even know
that the few who do, they sacrifice everything
we have, just because love owns their soul
They die without knowing the pains of the
world which love numbs them to
They live without the satisfaction of doing
something just because they can do it
Lovers are like soldiers, on a battlefield of
the soul, and they fight and die for the
rest of us to live in our cosy protected world,
where tranquility ordains that only the brave love.

10th grade
As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
11th grade
The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
Senior year
The day before prom she walked to my locker. My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
Graduation Day
A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
A Few Years Later
Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "you came!". She said "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.
Funeral
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.

The moral is, no matter how late it is, swallow your pride, get on your very knees (if you know you're to blame), beg, do what you have to - do NOT lose love. Don't find yourself crying at the grave of a love you never made real.
Move heaven and earth, start recessions, end wars - whatever you have to do, do it for the one you love, because outside of that life is just eat, excrete, sleep, copulate, multiply, decay, die. i.e. without it, life is no more exciting or fulfiling or enrapturing than a piece of buttered toast and tea... it's not bad, it'll get you through, but there's so much more. Don't let the multitude who want you to shut up be responsible for making you not give it ALL to the one true love who wants you to passionately love them.
Don't think of the danger, or the stranger is gone...

When I saw you I was afraid to meet you. When I met you I was afraid to kiss you. When I kissed you I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you, I am afraid to lose you.

It's here, but in german:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qj6GX8gOwgc
42 seconds into it - it's just so beautifully rendered - it's like a member of the gestapo singing "once, twice, three times a lady..." - I think that could be how bailey came up with this particular gag - i.e. maybe it started with him accidentally/spontaneously doing a gestapo version of that particular chorus. Otherwise, after all, it's not such an amusing work.

I reckon you have to be a bit Jamaican in love.
Here's my new favourite love qo-ut-ez.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pSywtiAirKE
Gotta keep it Jamaican. I've scrapped the Israel plan. Too aggressive. What I'm going to do is move myself to somewhere in the bahamas or caribbean generally for maybe a month and have a really good time and take some of my good friends down there to join me at various points, and before I go I'll locate her and send her open tickets and everything needed to get there very fast.
It's all about timing. Sometimes the moon waxes, sometimes it wanes. But it's one moon, wherever it is, in palestine, in london, in the caribbean. I'm told Domenica is a great place to slip away to with my kind of mindset. The land of rivers, apparently. And a bit less mainstream. Beauty more preserved and shielded from Babylon.
The rest of the plan's the same. I still need the dosh. But I reckon I can manage a holiday for a month to the carib if I make 24k a year more than I currently make, given that I survive just fine right now with 24k less than that per year. If you're gonna do something (like beg, apologize, repent) it's gotta be done right. Screw Israel, I'm going to the islands, to sit under the mango tree. If she wants to come, she'll just have to open her front door. The driver will take her to the airport the security guard will escort her from the car, and on the plane, across continents, to the next car, where she'll proceed to the mango tree. If she wants to stay, i'll buy a hut. We can cook fish on the beach. Under the stars.

Here's one I'd like to say to her:
"you're the only reason I know what love is"
but she'd never take me seriously - when she knew (I hestitate to say 'loved', but maybe it would be sensitive not arrogant to say so) me, I was ready to "love" just about anyone but her.
So I can only show her, not tell her. I was a chauvinist, a proper abrahamic male (christian, muslim, jew - we subjugate women together, eh?)
I wrote this article for my sins, the other day. Muslims hurled stones at it and jeered it Such is life...
Quote:
The Rise of the Muslim Woman in the 21st Century
It is widely believed by Muslims that women outside Islam are subjugated by terrible things and it is widely believed by people outside of Islam that Muslims subjugate women. If it were muslim to subjugate a woman, muslim women would cease being muslim. In truth, subjugation is not by muslims or nonmuslims, but by men.
The rise of various women in various parts of the world right now is very big, in some ways, and non-existent, in others. We are all too familiar with facts and figures relating to the western world, where women famously have sexual equality without having financial, political and often other, equally vital, forms of equality.
In the East typically women have no sexual equality and financial, political and similar forms of equality which men can exploit with physical overpowerment, financial and political/social overpowerment, all follow on from the sexual inequality in the vast majority of cases due to the natural failings of any individual. Not total, but as widespread as in the west, where everything is weighed against women except sex.
As a non-westernized (in moral system) 2nd generation muslim immigrant in the nonmuslim area that I am in, I cannot explore the reasons for why and how the equality of women sexually has overpowered male-dominated society so forcefully between the times when Henry the eighth murdered several of his wives to satisfy his sexual, political and other dubious appetites to a time when women can marry other women.
The achievement is more powerful than most of the major changing forces in history, such as those creating things as massive as the french revolution, the industrialization of the world, and even more modern radical changes such as binary digital technology.
Its permeation of the Islamic world has arrived on every front imaginable and the revolt of the Muslim Woman has been happening for decades, but now it is at a point where there can only be monumental and final change, sexually. Sexual equality for muslim women is a right that still does not today exist for the vast majority of muslim women on this planet. Real sexual equality does not require a submissive sexual role in all but the rarest cases.
It is sadly true that the sexual equality amongst women in most muslim households, even in the western world, are subjugated in ways that in the west were only that bad during Henry VIII's reign and have, over centuries, mellowed and changes and finally been butchered by women who just won't take it now and have changed their position permanently. Muslim women will not have to go through that many years to reach this state because of the concurrence with the liberated western womens' existences.
The collapse of the military industrial complex jointly running the entire planet through the bulk of muslim and western-judaio-christian governments and their friends and allies has led to the arrival of the time of the Muslim Woman, whose rise over the next 15 years will be the next most significant change on planet earth after the rise of the Western Woman. This is truly an amazing time to live. There has NEVER been a time in all Islamic history, like this time. And women cannot fail to become free. There is nothing in the retinue of Muslim male-dominated society to face the challenge it faces now as Muslim women find a natural capacity to forcefully take back their sexual equality, inflicted on them by, through and in the name of religion. I have seen it, and it is good.
