This guy flew across the English channel with a (I use the next 2 words losely) home built "jet wing" attached to his back!

I want one!

I was thinking about doing something like this a couple of years ago (honestly I was) with a couple of those model jet engines you get for large model aircraft but the cost of the engines I would need put me right off (that and my wife threatened to divorce me if I did anything like it!)

I still want one though - it doesn't look like he has the landng sorted though as he needs a parachute - but who cares, took him around 10 minutes to cross the channel, not bad.

The ultimate "boys toy!!!" - I WANT ONE!!!

They're cool, although I have seen them before (still very cool) -- BUT --the guy above has a JET engine strapped to his back!! I mean, comon, a jet strapped to his back!
(there was supposed to be a few funny faces and stuff to further purvey my amazement but for some strange reason they weren't working)

Those peoples are simply insane !!!!
But I love that idea much more. If you want to go that way, why not go extreme ?

I've seen that before mate, they are crazy, would be fantastic if they worked - but from what I have seen about the boot one they dont really, the jet wing thingy seems to work (kind of!)

Maybe they could put some on their hands (or arms) as well, kind of like the movie 'tin mad'

Crossing the english channel is nothing major, since it's such a narrow strip of water.

And these kind of inventions wouldn't be for the average consumer, since most of them would cost in the millions to purchase and maintain, leaving only the rich and wealthy people to enjoy it.
