I want to add some photos to my blog. I was in Google pics and found some I like. Is it ok to use just any picture--meaning are they free for the taking??

i think that not legal, although they are posted for public view, better yet if ever you use a picture that you found on the net just place a link going to that page where you found the picture to give credit to the owner

teewhy is right.. you should not take those picture. just think of it this way you got your own picture and other people copied it. do you can that to happened.

Just taking those images is illegal. Why not try sites like istockphoto? You can get royalty free images from as low as $1, and its legal.

Take it from them, mate! It's like using other articles on your blog as excerpt. You should note the reference/ source as credit tot the owner.

Those pictures in google are free..>!! you can use all of them but as teewhy said, try to give credit on the owner....

No the "pictures in google" are NOT free!

why do you think Google places this; Image may be scaled down and subject to copyright at the side of the image?

Why do you think that Google shows the PAGE the image is on?

Why do you think there are thousands of posts asking; "How can I prevent my images being stolen.

Without explicit approval from the copyright owner,
it is theft. Plain and simple.
