At first I thought Tim had officially gone insane given that the first three posts are his, and it appeared that he was replying to himself.

I'm guessing the posts were just hard deleted from the thread.

It would appear that they were. I was posting those when that joker was still online, furiously posting his garbage threads. I may yet be insane, but not for that reason.

How many did he make? And did they contain mostly crap about his website, linking to it, etc.?

It must have taken place over the span of only a few hours, I completely missed it....

Believe it or not, it did not appear that the schmuck had any sig links; it was apparently just done for general mayhem. I think he ended up starting about 400+ new threads; all of them had the first line of a joke as the subject and the joke as the first post.

While some joke threads are alright, that number's way over the line, this isn't a humor forum, it's a webmaster community.

Odd though that you say he didn't have any sig links or self-promotional crap in the threads. Besides those, what would be the point? (Other than to piss us off, of course.) He was just wasting his time and ours.

That's why I think it was that heretostay blighter. He had the motive, the immaturity, and way too much time on his hands.

He probably just exploited the forum, which allowed him to quickly post that much garbage. I doubt he actually stood there, wrote up a title, looked for a joke, and posted - 400 times.

Important things first: @Kandi - sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for your hubby. Surgery is never fun - may his time in hospital be short, painless and uncomplicated.

Next item - VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Man - just when I get my sarcastic wheels turning you guys go and ban my victims and I have to start all over again on some new airhead spammer who wouldn't recognize sarcasm if it was fed to them with a spoon by Dr. Phil reading cue cards.

I suggest it may be time for a "filthy spammer pre-ban email alert" for Members? Let's face it! Member benefits are few (in fact...I'm trying to think of one), so why not give us this email alert? Some of us carefully nurture these spam guys with artful frustrating posts and BAM, just when we're starting to have fun destroying their spamtime "POW" - they are banned. We deserve a bit of pre-ban notification so we can close in for the kill a bit more quickly!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my hubby. If I can just get him to behave (yeah right) until the surgery I'm sure he will be fine.

The Joker had a completely different IP than heretostay, he was here for about 5 hours straight and posted well over 400 garbage posts. Probably some one else that came here and got banned for doing stupid things.

I gave heretostay more rope than was really necessary - I think because he was trying so hard to get banned I tried not to give in

it was great when that joker guy left the forum and his posts are now gone, but it didn't stopped him to bother other people in other forums.
