I was going through the "text message templates" on my nokia phone with vodafone sim (I sound like hyacinth - my royal doulton with the handpainted periwinkles) and I found this alarming text message template:

I love you too

I mean that's just sick. If someone sent you a text saying "I love you" and you replied using a template, you should be ejected into space, without a space suit.

I think you are being extremely judgmental.

My hubby and I text each other multiple times during the day. My kids and I text each other multiple times during the day. Quite often my hubby will send me a text simply saying "miss u, luv u." There are a lot of times when one of my kids will send me a text saying "hope ur having a good day, love you" There are quite a few times when I will be in the middle of something, but don't want them to feel I am ignoring them and the only response I send back is "I love you too." I don't use templates or auto text, I have a full keyboard phone and I know how to type, but I am not even slightly offended at the idea of someone using one like that.

then what the hell are you talking about? i did NOT say that there's anything wrong with that - YOU are judgmental, not me. and YOU are jumping to conclusions and falsely labelling people.

unless you're lying and you DO send templates! still, if you do the latter, when they're 30 your children will hate you, so you'll learn anyway. people always do! there is much soul in the universe and those who genuinely infringe the laws of decency DO get punished

as for

I'm sure that when you're 70 years old and your grandchildren send you templates instead of their true feelings you'll remember our little conversation... assuming you continue to encourage that kind of behaviour or indeed carry it out yourself (assuming that your contradictory statements are the result of not being completely honest, or something...)

Anyway, back to work. I do it for those I love, so I never stop doing it.

Calm down a little!!! Kandi was simply expressing her opinions...same as you when you said its sick and that "you should be ejected into space, without a space suit" for using a template. No need to go off the rails...

Personally I don't see what's wrong with a template in your phone that says "I love you too", and I don't see how its "sick"

My point was just because you don't physically type it doesn't mean you mean it any less. I type things out because it is what I am most comfortable with, but not everybody is. I get texts from those close to me that have "u" instead of "you" and "r" instead of "are," etc. In any other format that would drive me crazy, but I understand that not everyone is comfortable typing. Just because my hubby sends me a text that says "luv u" doesn't mean he loves me any less than if he sent "I love you". No, I wouldn't be offended if my kids use a template to text or email me - they thought of me enough to send it in the first place, using a template makes it easier for them but doesn't necessarily mean that they care any less.

Your kidding right?? I mean seriously, that just made me laugh. Honestly, I think when your 70 you`re not going to be texting anyways.. Plus how would you even be able to tell if the text is a template or not??

dont get big deal with a text message..it is more important how you love your partner..it also goes with the words or promises that we usually say..to make it short, words or texts are just words..doing is better than saying cheers
