What CMSs do you use?
I've been been using Textpattern for the past 2 years however from what I've read , both joomla and Drupal and can do much more. Does anyone use either/both of these? which is better? or maybe suggest another.

It really depends on what you are doing. Drupal is fantastic for large member groups, forums, articles, and - really everything under the sun.

However, for some things, it is really overkill. I normally use Wordpress. It has a very good blogging and article system, an easy-to-understand admin section, it handles multiple users very well(with different rankings and such), and has a giant collection of plugins that you can use to modify it.

Hello,

I never personally cared much for Joomla or Drupal - I think there both a joke. I always suggest working with WordPress for the simple fact that you have hundreds of plugins at your finger tips that will make your website that much better. Also, you have tons and tons of website that have free WordPress themes you can download and use. It has a much easier control panel then Joomla or Drupal could ever dream of creating.

I'm into CMS . I tried using joomla in our thesis project. But now in our ojt, I'm intoduce into a new CMS which is known as umbraco.

I am going to be working with a CMS for the first time on an upcoming project and was wondering for those of you using wordpress with many plug-ins do you find a lot of issues when upgrading the wordpress and it breaking certain mods?

I did run a few forums 3+ years ago and that was the major downfall for me was the fact that when I upgraded the primary script (vb, phpbb etc) if I had 10 mods 5 of them would probably not be working post-upgrade.

I am building my own CMS and live website editing tool. I already have a working prototype, and have managed to create a system that isn't like anything else I've ever seen.

As steve said it depends on what your doing, but even tho wordpress is not considered a CMS I think its a great script to use, its free, has a lot of features, its a very flexible program and so many people out there offer services where they can change it up so much. You can turn it into a store, article directory, etc, its all free so many plugins. Think you should use Wordpress

But if your not looking into it drupal is very good
