Me and my friend just entered a competition for 'web2.0 apps'.
On the competitions site examples of what a 'web2.0 app' is were like sites/blogs... as a fairly accomplished programmer, working with a very accomplished programmer we feel this competition is 'in the bag'.

But now we are stuck. What is a cool application to make? Does anyone have an application-idea that think would do well?
Does anyone have any app-ideas but not know how to script? (or seen any applications - already made- ... that might give us an idea/concept to work on?).

Please don't offer to sell me an application- we are interested in MAKING one. that being said- we only have 11 days, and we're also going to have to design it, so nothing TO hard...

Any suggestions?

Edit: I already know how to do it. It just doesn't have bells and whistles.

Thanks! I like that idea, but I'm looking for a more 'interactive' 'web 2.0' idea... that the average person can use.

Make a system that allows users to display a sticky note on your webpage.

From that sticky note they can edit the note and then "post" it either for others to see, for a private group, or only for them selves.

Oh, and do it without registration that will make it more of an "instant app".
