I didn't have a mentor, nor anyone to call.

The opporsite to this, is why I class myself as a go-getter from a young age.
I too am self thought, I wanted to learn PHP so I contacted a PHP Developer on a community I was in which pointed me to some good resources of which helped me learn, followed by quick regular support via MSN when I was learning. (Interestingly, I do the same now to a friend I met on-line).
When I came to start my own flash game website, I was ambitious and had more games, better organised with more innovative features than my armature competitors. This gave me the upper hand to contact my closest competitors to build a contact list.
All I have mentioned is building my inbound links and contact list to maintain those links, content, ideas and suggestions. Web Go-Getter in my opinion.
Later my determination in PHP Coding got me noticed by friends and family which got me my first 3rd party website development. Since then working hard to improve said skills, and have approached companies some successfully sold services.
Do I qualify as being Go-Getter?
