Some pictures I took when my wife and I went to a local lake a couple of weeks ago. These pictures were taken on lake sam rayburn in east texas and were taken with a sony ws5.

That one has seen some hard days.

If I can find it it I will show you one I have of a burl oak. I think 300 years +.

What kind of a tree has the roots mostly all exposed like that? I know a Cypress tree has it's knees sticking up, especially in the swampy areas, probably not the right terminology but I call them knees. And there's the Spanish Moss hanging from the branches.

The water sure looks calm....

wow! This tree has so much character, I would love to see this tree again when it is summer to see how much it has changed. As formagicvw you have done a very good attempt with photoshop on this image, I do feel the original looks better though
