I am looking for a career in the computer field...The only problem is that I don't 'specialize' in one area, but I am well versed in many areas...

For instance, I know more than just the basic operations in multiple operating systems such as: Windows, Linux and Macintosh. I also have a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, as well as the Open Office Suite. I am also proficient in web design. I don't have a portfolio, but I do have proof of the actual customer receipts from merchandise that I sold from my site as well as proof of the merchant account I held at the time of ownership. I also have experience handling as well as installing computer peripherals and hardware such as ram, graphics cards, network adapters, etc. My experience doesn't end there, this is just the beginning of where it all started. Please contact me only if you are a new computer firm (any type) hiring your first round of employees. I am not interested in starting in an established firm because of my prime age, with hands on experience, which I feel deserves to be looked at much closer.

Thanks for reading...
-Brian

I would have to say pick something that you enjoy the most coz all the jobs in IT industry can be quite well paid as long as you are good in that field

Why do people *ALWAYS* insist (or imply for that matter) that their ideas are always better? It's not like I am 50, but I am not 20 either, so go figure, if I start to focus on one area, while the IT industry is expanding exponentially, where would I be in a year? I'd say a year behind. I guess you can be the optimist, but if that's how you see it, you must advance very *very* quickly. Oh yeah, good luck keeping up in the future, if you think it's easy now, forget it in a few years, trust me.
