Well, I am using Avast and its free.
But you can use Nod32 or Kaspersky. They both are the best.

I have tried AVG, missed a lot of invasions. I have tried Norton, not bad. Trend Micro too, but it's a resource hog. Seriously, no matter which one you use, try running a free online scan using Trend Micro once in a while, and you will still find something that your puppy missed. This sucks.
Just play safe, if you don't go to the whore house, why need condoms?

Oh by the way, if you want something free, then still go with AVG. Norton was "free" until recently, but the one I got was from piratebay and came with a trial-resetter, Norton fixed it eventually, you may still be able to find a free one somewhere else, or perhaps someone has posted one on piratebay with a new "fix". Avoid Trend Micro.

Hello Andy,
Over two weeks ago I was running Norton and that's all I ever used. There was another thread started on anti virus software's, the members mentioned what they were using. I ended up installing AVG which is free but doesn't cover everything, the pay one does. The software is pretty simple to use, however I did disable the E-Mail Scanner, it's puts a nice little plug at the bottom of the email messages. I can understand the plug, after all it's free, my server scans emails for viruses. The next one I am going to try is Avast which is also free.

Nod 32. Very nice and simple antivirus. I hardly ever notice it. And it seems to do its job

Avast is really a strong anti-virus I've been using it almost 2 years and it never let me down.

i strictly use AVG, i had AntiVir running on another computer of mine but if you don't reg the program it has annoying popups. i will *never* use norton, or mcafee or any of those big names because they cause more problems than they solve in my opinion

NOD 32 is nice so is the others Avast, AVG, etc.
For my primary I have a high, high end version of Symantec, not the main Norton you buy in stores. It is very powerful. On my new laptop I have the standard Norton, and it seems to do good.
I have heard of people saying to stay away from Norton, but IMO it is much better than McAfee was when I used it.

Here is the thread Giselle mentioned:

Perhaps this thread should be merged with it?
