I am totally addicted to the internet. I can't shake it off even when I have to, when I have tonnes of other stuff to do.
I have a huge dose of online work scheduled in August, and of course there's always an infinity of things to do out here, but I should shake off the internet and enjoy the rising tides of google listings as they arrive (there's nothing wrong with my pages so I assume I'll get them all absorbed into google, as usual, in the fullness of time).
I would eat less, get more exercise, be more sociable, admittedly spend more, and also give my eyes a break from screens.
It's a grey day in london, with lightning sneaking about the place. A brief gap of sun did pop up for an hour or so, and it's by no means a miserable day (or maybe that's just my perspective), but it's grey and dull and dubious! If I put away mad fears of lightning I may as well go out and about. A bit of drizzle never killed anyone.
When I am at home I have to use the internet all the time. It just takes precedence. So they only way to get unaddicted is to get away from here. Sadly there is still so much work to do, so it hardly seems worth getting unaddicted. So much more dangerous exposure to the internet even if I manage to break away for a few days.
I like the idea of a dark road, for I know that the darkness of the unknown is like a magnet luring the innocent into a world of corruption.
