I have an OLD Kenwood Receiver which has terrible reception in my place. I would like to know if there is a antenna that I can use to get better sound quality from both AM AND FM stations. At the time of purchase way back in the mid 1990's it had a black plastic antenna which was shaped like an arch with two wires hanging from the bottom of each end which plugged into the back of the receivers ground connector, but eventually I got rid of that, and thought it was bad but probably due to the digital switch...This being the airwaves, NOT the most recent Digital Cable switch. Does anyone know of a good receiver antenna that is fairly cheap that works?

Thanks!

Yes. I've used a Terk power antenna for over ten years, and it hasn't failed me yet. It has an AC adapter that plugs in the wall, two FM leads (now those I had to use a coaxial adapter to fit my receiver) and one AM lead. My reception is great. You should still be able to pick one of those up at any Wal-Mart, the adapter too, though you'll have to buy it separately.

FM digital sound quality is marginally better and this is a stretch. .... You could have the best receiver in the world and HD still would not come in .... HD reception itslef is terrible, it sounds artificial to anyone who has decent ... I can't pick up any stations in HD using the stock AM antenna and C. Crane's ...
