There are soo many domains in the web that all most every word are already registered but more than 50% of the wbeistes are of no use. What do you think?

They registered it for the value of domain name.. the more competitive the domain name is the more they can sell it at higher price.

It's very frustrating trying to find a domain when setting up a new website around a particular subject.

Just think of the amount of money being spent on renewals of domain names which don't have a site on - must be a crazy amount!

The trick is not to do a domain name search until you are ready to purchase it. Have several variations in mind in case the first one's taken. If you don't purchase it right when you know it's available, someone else very well might. I'd opt for a different name before I'd pay one of those blighters who scoops up names, though.
