As a web master, I am wondering how many hours you must stay in front of your computer?
Mine is 12 hours. Is it long or short to our dearest web masters?

I try to limit myself to 10 hours a day... I know it's hard to believe but there is a world outside of the internet...

i also work for about 12 hours in a day and night.i mean net 12 hours with breaks.

We only have 24 hours a day and we have to sleep, eat, and do all other things.

So I will say Yes, that's long!

For me, only 8 hours a day!

I usually stay 8 to 10 hours a day and when i am free then i use only 5 hours to surf in the net.

well, since my time out of work 2 years now, I haven't really gone away from the thing...And still lost with ideas...Hard to believe, right? Probably no one here has been online more than me since early 2007. I guess when you love your computer, you will do anything for it...If it weren't for the windows in my house, I would have never seen the light of day. I don't mean MS Windows either

Total hours in 24 months, let's break it down:

2 years = 17 531.6255 hours ( for some that's 17 Billion with a 'B' hours )

I would say I've spend half of that time online since early '07!

Quite amazing right?

Brian you're such a lightweight

I was an IT manager from ~1994 until 2003 and around 25% of my day was on the Internet (ISDN) researching and monitoring security aspects.

2003 - 2009 75% of the day I was on the Internet working (self employed developer/programmer)
and now since health problems struck, 12 - 13 hours online is the average day.

and as Brian says, the windows are the only daylight that is seen most days

But of course if the sun is directly on the screen I'll draw the curtains

I work for 6 hours and I usually finish my work within 8 hours. Sometimes if I'm not focus on my work. It leads to 10-12 hours. And lately, I can feel head cramps. I wonder if you also feel it?

It depends from 1 to 12 hours. Sometimes even more it depends what work i m doing. But i dont waste time sitting online chating and facebook and youtube which i use to do a lot before.

well probably 14 hours a day in front of the computer including small breaks and after going office. at home I still spend the rest of my time in front of the computer
