Dammit I really liked it.
After this Jim Cameron has risen to top of my Greatest Directors Ever LIST, pushing aside Spielberg and Lucas.

There are soo many cool things about this movie, but the coolest i reckon is the Billie Jean Effect! When they're walking at night in the jungle and the ground lights up where their feet touch it.

Yeah AVATAR is a good movie.. Have you heard the rumors about James Cameron between his fan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6IQSibFv1k

And I'm disappointed with his attitude.

James Cameron's hands are full when the guy asks for an autograph, then you see the camera following him then the camera cuts off then back on and James Cameron is calling the man an a-hole.

Anything could have been said to James Cameron before he called that man an a-hole, and the thing i find weird about that video is, why is a grown man starting a scene because he can not get an autograph.

Think I will have to wait to see the movie, it's being showed at the I-Max cinema downtown which is in the park along with the ice skating rink. It's a killer to secure a parking spot, if you are lucky enough to secure a parking spot, it would be a very long walk to the cinema, in this cold crispy weather we are having, I wouldn't be interested in hoofing it.

Have heard nothing but positive reviews so am interested in what the members have to say.

Everyone is saying that this movie is great. Too bad there are no cinemas in my city, will have to wait for DVD release.

I saw it in Dolby 3D (not Imax).

The usage of 3D effects was done artistically -- not 3D simply for the sake of 3D, but 3D where it enhances the overall scene; bringing you into the story.

The story line is a well-told Sci-Fi version of Fern gully.

The character development is more drawn out -- much like older books -- but I love that in a story and in a movie as it gives greater understanding of the depth of the characters.

Overall, this movie was awesome in every regard and a worthwhile watch.

Of all the movies I've seen in 3D, Avatar is by far the best in terms of how 3D impacts the overall experience. Unfortunately, at the time, I was visiting family in a town where there are no IMAX theaters, but now that I'm back home I might have to go check it out in IMAX.

Not yet - can't wait. I saw 4 - 2 minute trailers online and it looks fantastic.

On Cameron: He is a bit of an enigma - He's known for having a bad temper and he is a perfectionist to the 9th degree. He became an expert in deep sea salvaging beginning with "THE ABYSS" and again with "TITANIC". He demands a lot from the people who work for him but he gives 200% back to them in praises.
