It is funny, did you see the movie Ed?

I never got a chance to answer your question in another thread, if it was worth spending the money to see the movie. My answer would be yes, the 3D alone was awesome, for me anyhow.

Cameron is one director that I normally avoid I'm afraid Giselle, just really not into epics...

was that a question about 2012?

I thought the question was in one of the Avatar threads.

I know what you mean about Cameron, close to the end of the movie, my eyes started hurting, plus the glasses kept slipping down my nose, not sorry I went to see the movie in 3D though, really awesome.

I am speaking for myself Ed. First of all I was reading all the comments in the Avatar threads, plus I had seen clips on the movie too. The big thing was the 3D, with a DVD you lost the technology. A movie like this needs to be seen in a cinema who has the capabilities to handle 3D. The story was all right, no I wouldn't be interested in purchasing or renting the movie in DVD.

The cinema showed the commercials in 3D, the popcorn flying out at you, went on to show a preview of "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D, another wow! There is no comparison to this new 3D and the old 3D, so different and awesome. The colors are so vibrant, I felt at times I was in the movie. In the future I will be looking for other movies in 3D to see at the cinema. No I wouldn't be interested in seeing "Alice in Wonderland" in 3D.

Hopefully you will be able to see the movie in English if you are interested in 3D. Might add, this was all new to me, the glasses aren't the standard cardboard paper with the green and red lenses. They are framed glasses with clear special type lenses.

No dubbing Ed? If they're only showing it in Spainish....that's a bummer. You'll have to get the dvd for sure if you can't see it in the theater.

btw Giselle, I'm going this weekend to see it. I think there is a choice at the theater I'm going to - 1 has it with 3D and 1 is without it. I was going to go see the regular one but I'm having 2nd thoughts now after what you said.....

I bought the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" dvd in 3D. (newest version) It came with the glasses but they're so crappy - the cut outs for the eyes are way too small and yeah it keeps sliding off your nose if you move an inch....There are only parts of the movie in 3D - took me awhile to figure that one out....it's the parts where the dinosaurs come out, or when they are running in the jungle, etc.

and even though Pat Boone is in it, I actually prefer the old version over this one....lol

Here again is my own opinion for both of you. Our son seen the movie in 2D version at the cinema, the vibrant colors were there and enjoyed the movie, although his comment was the storyline was all right.

The price of our tickets for 2D 8.00 USD = 5.87458 EUR and 3D 12.00 USD = 8.81187 EUR, for me it's worth the extra money for 3D. However, if you wear both glasses and contacts, my husband was sorry he didn't wear his contact lens, because he had to slip the 3D glasses over the normal glasses. Now a comment on the 3D glasses, husband claims there was a slight tint to the lens and the left lens seemed to have a little power.

Joni when the gentleman handed the glasses to us, the glasses were all lined up in a flat velvet lined flat box, he handed the glasses to us very gently by the frame. The 3D glasses are like normal type glasses with full size lens. After slipping the glasses back up a few times, I thought I have had enough of this nonsense and took the glasses off. Here's what happened, the characters up front were crystal clear but the background was fuzzy or smudgy. The glasses went back on and I just lived with it.

Enjoy the movie whatever version you decide to see Joni, hopefully you will tell us your comments and thoughts.
