This was on tv last night some bloke called Chris Hirst interviews Matt Cutts.
Quote:
Chris, "So tell us about what is going to happen with all this dofollow nonsense, I've really had enough of idiots thinking it is some form of attribute.
Matt, "well Chris, we know how you feel, so we at google have decided that websites can add a dofollow in the same way they add a nofollow, if our bots encounter a dofollow the bot will follow it and leave the page it is on, ie we are going to give the highest importance we can to this new, what should we call it? Command, also whilst we are on the subject we are now giving highest priority to pages with little or no content, the reason being is people just don't have the time anymore to actually read stuff, for example a page with 2 thumbnails and 6 words will have the highest priority, and remember, we like short words, words over 4 letters and we at google will start penalising.

Well I sure did miss the tv interview, do you have the link so we all could read the transcripts? We certainly would like to read the whole interview so we don't miss anything.

Google is now testing its new "thought interactivity receptors", it's at beta stage so far but it does seem to be the biz, basically wearing their headgear you just need to think about what you want to see or read and it will project it into your goggles, $500 bucks for the headgear is the figure being bandied about.

If he is like his avatar, then Matt Cutts would say anything to stay safe.

Chris is there anymore you could enlighten us about the interview, seeing as the links are no where to be found, seems there are no transcripts. I for one am not interested in wearing that creative head gear, although the goggles do look pretty snappy.

On one of the other forums there is a rumour that Chris and Matt are an item so to speak, some have said that Chris is only in the relationship to get webmaster-talk into the google number 1 spot for everything, how true it is I have no idea and I wouldn't want to be one to spread malicious rumours about Chris's and Matt's sex life

Chris is being uncharacteristically quiet about all this... let's see if we can lure him here with some of his favourite type of posts....
Chris, should I dofollow my SEO backlinks in Google?
