why does he know like, freaking everything?
I have been posting here on these forums, here and there, for a few years now- and this guy is in EVERY single forum- answering everyone's questions, about Everything.
I seriously want to know how this guy knows like, freaking everything ever.

He's making it up as he goes along and no one has bothered to question him yet.

Well our Chris is a Moderator on these forums so if you're seeing him everyhere it jusy means he's doing his job
And of course he does know a thing or two about the web, that's what often comes through many years of experience.

That's the trick!
You don't have to know what you are talking about. ...
...
Just make it sound good
If you can't blind 'em with science, baffle 'em with bullsh**t

Okay, no questions about Embroidery, however you do know a thing about cooking, unfortunately I did get lost in the Microwave thread over what the molecules were doing or suppose to be doing.
Ah yes Lashtal, Chris is a gem, knowledgeable with a delicious sense of humor!

Why thank you kindly my lady [doffs hat and bows with a flourish]
Why a Knight of the realm would be honoured by such graciousness

I'm interested to know how he acquired such a broad range of knowledge: formal education?, self-taught?, a mix of both?, etc. etc.
There are two people who stand out on these forums as people whose knowledge I wish I could download into my brain and have, he's one of 'em.
I admire chris's broad range of knowledge, and admire NullPointer's knowledge of PHP
I guess i'm basically trying to figure out how I can best emulate their path of study, so I can accomplish something similar.

For me it is a variety of jobs and trades and learning new skills and getting qualifications to match the skills.
It teaches you how to learn and how to research, and of course being anally retentive having a retentive mind helps

weker,
it's a fact that the value of forums is in their ability to provide knowledge + experience to it's more non-experienced members, for sure.

When Chris wins the National Lottery, us UK humans will have to emigrate. Chris will buy all the land in the 3 kingdoms and turn it into a giant harem sheep farm.

It's those sort of people that turn into physchotic killers, spend there days watching the shower scene in that phycho film, visit the local pet shops to buy small furry animals to torture and kill, but apart from those minor failings his knowlege is quite amazing.
