Just thought a good topic to talk about is how much time is lost unproductively on the internet. Has anyone got a good way to manage it? I always end up missing key information due to lack of time (and getting distrated on the net) while online

Do not allow yourself to be distracted.......

In the average day I waste about 30 minutes......

The other 18 hours are productive....

Well, I depends on the situation. technically 1 hour in checking emails for the day.

for entertainment, reading stuff, communicate, and work

for me it depends on the mood and whether I'm tired or not. Motivation is important as well.

I get distracted a lot. There is so much to do online these days.

When i first started web developing when I was younger, say 7 years ago, I pretty much had no distractions. But now, facebook, forums, etc.... I find that if I am in my home office, unless it is something really important, I tend to waste time posting on forums and doing anything other than working

Today I spent about 5 minutes playing with the animated balls on google.com

15hrs daily,
Always working on 7days / 365 days,
NO HOLIDAYS!!

There is no time WASTED at all for my job is in the net. It'll only be wasted depending on how you look on things.

I spend around 14 hours on the internet, working, reading blogs, watching videos etc. none of it is wasted.

I lose some productivity on forums and online games. Best way to manage it is to have a specific computer for work, and block those distractions from your work computer.
