Not sure how many people cry here or I'm not even sure how many people will actually admit it lol but here goes. I have seen many people feel better after crying but why do we cry?? Do you think it helps or do you think it's pointless to feel that emotion IYHO?

I do cry (ahem like a man) and I do often feel better afterwards.

The bartender brought me another...

Not really, but when you walk away from a good friends hospice room knowing it's the last time you will ever speak to them, it's the only sane thing you can do.

Obviously you've yet to be on the receiving end of one of Chris's cutting replies. They are known to reduce the most testicularly-blessed individuals into sobbing infants.

I do think cry can help us calm down. I confess that I'm a lachrymose person. When I feel sad, I'm easily to burst into tears. But after crying I would feel better and forget the sad thing. I guess crying is a good way to relief pressures. At least it is so for me.

I always cry. That's the only way for me to feel better though I know my problem will not be solved.

crying helps you release the heavy feelings you have inside, crying doesnt mean your weak..

I feel better if i cry about something that made me upset then hold back my tears.

WEll, of course crying helps to relieve the stress, and after that you may feel a bit better, sometimes even exhausted

I feel very very much better after crying. Tears comes when we feel very sad about a bad incident which was happened in the past. If you beat some one now severely also they will cry now itself. There are lot of reasons for the tears.

Firstly i cannot stop my tears. But even after crying i feel that it is pointless. The thing that pinched me continuously comes into my mind.
