Your immediate answer is probably a flat out "no", but hold on a sec. There's so many Youtube videos and TV shows (i.e. you've been framed for the Brits) that have clip after clip of people falling over, driving into a tree, smacking their heads on something, back-flips gone wrong.. I don't find it amusing to watch to be honest. It gets boring after a while and I only end up feeling sorry for them, haha.

So, do you enjoy watching these types of shows/clips?

It is known as schadenfreude

However the TV shows etc are merely an extension of slapstick which has been an entertainment form throughout history.

I get mild pleasure from watching someone make a fool of himself (e.g. slipping and falling on his face in a dance competition). It's a combination of schadenfreude (per chris) and relief that I'm not the only one whose done something embarrassing. The "getting hurt" part isn't what I like... I don't like gory videos, only embarrassing ones.

Actually yes... if i don't know the person.. i like is someone get hurt.. most of the time i laugh.. of course i am not talking about serious injuries

I think those type of shows are flat out stupid, some of my buddies love it so much and personally I don't understand. Grant it I laughed a few times, but most of the time I just believe it's idiotic.

when presented in a funny show - it is ok because I know they were not hurt seriously. otherwise such a thing is horrible.

Yes and no to that question, i do feel bad when a person really is hurt but there are times when thing people do that are funny.

Honestly, no. I always disagrees watching those tv shows that gives a bad impression or influence to the viewers. Wrestling is one of the examples.

To watch others get hurt will make my heart ache. I really don't like this kind of video. Even if in funny programmes. I just watched some programmes of family funny videotape. In the video, the producer just make some accidents deliberately. During the program, some people fall over, some others run into trees. Though not hurt badly, I still can not afford this kind of programms. I won't watch it any more.

Well I think watching people slipping and falling and they get up and laugh about it is a lot better than watching someone break a leg doing a dangerous skateboarding stunt
