Awww Ed I think there is such a thing as "natural" talent. There are lots of kids who have shown they are really good at something without any training. Don't you consider that "natural"?
I used to be good at dance - and no one in my family ever did that - but my mom/dad and sisters were all really good at art - specifically painting, drawing and hand building pottery. so I think that the talent gene does run in the blood....mine was just mostly in the peforming art area....
also, my dad was an electrician. He built radios, tv's and stereo's as a hobby - we even had an intercom system in our home that he built from scratch. (he took way too much pleasure in waking us at 7am to revely on weekends though) And as an adult I've always had this knack for fixing tv's (tube tv's). Wouldn't that be an inherited talent?
