This might be interesting for some people as we all live in different cultures, I remember living in the UK many years ago, I got pulled up doing 59mph in a 30mph zone, the thought of offering him some money on the spot to ignore my minor problem didn't even enter my head, yet here in Thailand they will tell us the ticket price and we then negotiate it down to a cash price with no reciepts and a nudge and a wink.
Anyway, not having had a valid license for the last 15 years it really doesn't matter to me how i drive, I mean they aint going to take my license away are they, suppose they could ban me from driving but they have noway of enforcing that, although normally I just ignore them if they try to flag me over, how am I supposed to understand what these little brown people in uniforms want 
My last bribe I got caught speeding yet again, I had been racing some big bike, he was a **** good rider and we were getting up to like at 220km, 90km speed limit though, anyway after about 30km he started loosing his concerntration so slowed down, so we both slowed down to 150km and took it easy, and there was the speed trap, down the road it was blocked so noway of driving on, no idea what the bike paid but I told them I had already been caught speeding up the road and paid a 4 quid bribe and that I wasn't going to be paying 4 quid bribes to all of them, they agreed to 2pound 50pence, aint you got to love a corrupt police force |
