what like a housemate?
I had a housemate I disliked a few years ago, but never hated... I just tried to ignore them. If I lived with someone who I really hated, I'd probably move...

What worked with my housemates is that we all had different sleeping patterns and class schedules. We never really saw each other except for friday nights and the weekend, which was enough.

You usually find that someone who does not have a good word for anybody, is suffering from an inferiority complex and feels jealous about anyone who just gets on with their life, so they have to put others down to make themselves feel better.

I try not to interact with people I dislike. Once I have almost become an enemy to my friend after long time living together. The only way is to go away, not point making conflicts.
