My Misses just had to renew her roadtax.
1.8 Diesel Ford Fiesta.
This car doesn't have enough power to be used on the motorway as it can only just about manage 70mph
Now,
This is what pisses me off.
I have a 1.8 turbo petrol and I pay ~£130/year for my car.
She just had to pay £215 for hers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The UK gov can suck my .....
I swear they are taking the piss now.
Just because its an older car they make her pay more.
I use the roads more than her, my car probably does more damage to the roads than hers, However I pay less.
What really grinds my gears is they base all this **** on CO2 emissions.
I mean, Wtf has that got to do with keeping the roads in good condition?
Nothing? no, didnt think so.

I was just reading the direct.gov site.
And guess what, It turns out that if you use a bicycle for "trade" then you have to pay £74 road tax a year... FOR A **** PUSH-BIKE!

This is also ontop of my council tax not increasing. ( YAY .. or .. ) However, They took away our bin collection from the council tax and now ask us to pay extra a month for the bins. ( ASSHATS! )
"Hey look, We havent put your tax up. However what we ae gonna do is take stuff away from you unless you pay more.." Sound good?
