I'm sure you heard about it, but let's discuss about it,

A 400m (1,300ft) wide asteroid recently passed by Earth.

News:

Asteroid 2005 YU55's was the closest an asteroid has been to Earth in 200 years, according to Nasa.

What an interesting read, thanks for link Marc! Yes I heard about the asteroid on the news but not any real details like the news article you provided.

I can't even imagine something streaking by at about 30,000mph......

Cool. I think I saw an old frisbee of mine in the video. I lost it sometime back in 1976 after throwing it and not being able to find it.

I heard about that too. It was super close--went between the moon and the earth!

I suppose in astronomical terms 200,000 miles is pretty close

Considering adding another 50,000 miles to that is about the distance from the Earth to the moon (roughly, without looking it up), yes, that's close.
