I don't know how old this is, but check this out.

Like SOPA, this bill, if passed, could affect the rest of the world (.ca, Canadian hosting, etc). The problem, though, is that nobody pays attention to Canadian politics, so this may very well pass under our noses. I doubt, since this is Canada and nothing severe seems to ever happen here, some changes could and would be put into play.

What do you guys think? I'm not a lawyer (so this whole thread could be completely stupid), and this bill might be completely different than SOPA, but it has some broad-ish 'guildlines' in the summary (what I read).

The document is pretty loose with copyright infringement, I wonder how old the document is. Here in the states copyright infringement is a serious matter on everything, not just online.

If one goes to the Library and wants to copy a photograph or graphic out of a book, one would have to contact the author and ask permission, no doubt contact the publishing house first.
