I have used BT for some time, I am very happy with them.
You should read the small print when looking at broadband, I nearly signed up to bulldog 10mb, but then i read in thier small print what they allow and what they block, and it's practically the same as AOL.
A lot of broadband providers block certain ports in an "attempt" to prevent viruses spreading, I know it's dumb, but they do it. So you might find yourself unable to run a server for testing and unablle to login to your pop accounts of send mail via a remote smtp server. Can be very frustrating..
My BT is said to be 2 mb, But i have clocked it at almost 3. And that is with 2 laptops and one server running on my lan. I regularly download at 500 kbps.
Plus with BT you have the added reasurance of knowing they aren't a fly by night company.
