I created Intuition for this very purpose. The problem is that you want an export function for the forum that I think doesn't exist. Export functions exist for list serve type online email discussion lists and are usually only available to administrator level access. If there were an XML kind of export for a thread that would be kind of useful & interesting.
Given that information, Intuition has an import function that works through the cut & paste function of your computer. You copy everything on the website page that you are interested in and you click Import as plain text in Intuition. That will make a simple page out of the information that you copied. You will be able to read these copied pages off line and you could even do keyword searches to help you find information. Intuition 1.6 allows you to create references using terms to identify what you would like to find at later times.
If you could get your hands on a delimited file where each message or thread is separated by something identifiable then you could use Intuition's Import from Data function to create very large multi-paged documents that can be viewed off-line.
I used the New & Old Testament, WEB, Bible as a test bed for importation experiments and speed tests for term & keyword searches where each verse is encapsulated within MTML tags.
Intuition takes common links like "www.leveltron.com/index.html" & "bob@somewhere.com" and converts them into active hyperlinks that will open browsers or email applications that are set as the default choice on your computer. Intuition takes this from the plain text on your computer's clipboard and converts it during the creation of each page.
Find it here, it's free.

Add this:
This forum website has Thread Tools that provide each page with a Show Printable Version. I just copied the printable version for this thread and imported it as a page in an Intuition file I created for forum threads. It works very good. If you knew how to add terms to a page you could make references to the thread title, authors, dates, and reply headings for each page. This would turn the off-line archive of your threads into powerful database.
