Heh. I haven't updated my personal site in over 3 years!!! Heh.

Not asking for reviews (since I know it's kinda crappy), but take a look at it. http://www.prissed.com You can tell how long it's been since it was designed with 640 x 480 resolutions in mind! lol. I'm thinking a major overhaul is needed on this site.

Crow, Not really. I fooled around with java before, and back when I had a slow computer, it just made it run like crap. This was years ago...and now that my computer handles stuff like that a lot better, I just haven't messed with it in so long, I usually just dismiss it as a possibility...

There's always Flash...but I'm not a big fan of flash animation for the sake of animation. I like it if it has a purpose. I don't care for site that use flash just to show off.

Probably the closest I'll get to special effects is CSS and DHTML.

By looking at my site I'm sure you know I like special effects. Just thought I'd ask!! I believe a large number of people are moving to cable and dsl as the price is becomeing so cheep. Everyones internet will be faster.

Heh. You haven't been to North Central Texas, have you?

It sucks in some areas. It's either Dial-up or Satellite. The satellite is so expensive, and the dial-up only gets up to 28.8 because the phone lines are so crappy.

I lucked out, and moved to a place with DSL (actually, not luck, since it was one of my requirements - gotta get my priorities straight, lol). But when we first moved here after my husband got out of the Navy, we were staying in his mom's guest house. And we were stuck out in the country. On a crappy 28.8 connection. It sucked.

...Especially when I was uploading websites.

Michigan you can get DSL almost anywhere for $29. Where I'm at it's $27 for cable. You do live in the wild west!! I guess it would be harder to get a fast internet.

Crow: I looked at your site and was very impressed. I am a newbie and suspecting these are java scripts and etc. How does one go about learning how to do this? I did not see any tutorials in your site, so could you point me to a site that lays out how to make these effects?
